Anyone not watching Wellington Paranormal is really missing out.

Joe Lycett explaining pansexuality is the best thing I’ve ever seen

seeing people thirst over new zealand’s weird uncle, also known as rhys darby, is unsettling. like we’ve known this dude for decades and he is just a staple of new zealand comedy and now youre telling me people think he is hot? thats like if someone told me my dad was hot. it doesnt make sense.

silly little comedy shows with stupid premises are so underrated as not just a form of media but art too. shows like bbc ghosts, wwdits, wellington paranormal, etc. they’re all incredible but they’ll never get their dues because six/eight/ten episode shows summarised by vampire roommates or a multi-era ghost family will never be taken seriously which is such a shame because its often these shows that are so beautifully, intricately, caringly crafted, written and acted. effort goes into them more so than any regurgitated blockbuster, effort goes into them because their creators have fun with their ideas and don’t restrict themselves by thinking about being taken seriously. and that’s great! but i get so sad whenever i recommend ghosts to someone and explain the premise because there’s A Look even though the show is so beautiful and deals with morality and philosophy and so many profound issues and the acting has made me cry more than once. and idk just silly little comedy shows!!! they make the world go round!
